About the Event

SPEAKER BIOS:

Melissa Karson, Marketing Manager, Fisher Price

Melissa currently is the U.S. Marketing Manager at Fisher-Price. Her role includes overseeing the Fisher-Price Infant and Little People product divisions within the U.S. market, which includes determining pricing, assessing retailer executional programs, managing supply and demand, and implementing effective media strategies. Prior to joining the Fisher-Price team at Mattel, Melissa interned as an MBA Intern on the Barbie Global Brand Marketing Team. In her free time, now that she is done planning her wedding, Melissa enjoys staying active, attending USC football games (Fight On!), and sipping on a good glass of Cabernet.

Adam Sadiq, Associate Marketing Manager, Action Figures

I went to undergrad at Creighton University and graduated with a degree in International Business and Finance in 2016.  After, I worked full-time at the FDIC in the Kansas City regional office.  Also during that time, I designed a board game and created a company to sell it on Kickstarter.  That experience made me want a professional change so I decided to go back to school and get my MBA at University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business in 2020.  I interned at Mattel the Summer of 2021 on the games team working on projects for Scrabble, Pictionary, and UNO.  After graduating I started full-time at Mattel on the Action Figures team for the Pixar brand.

Seema Yedavalli, Senior Manager, Early & Emerging Talent

Seema  currently oversees Mattel's U.S. based early talent leadership & internship programs. Her role includes internal and external stakeholder management, full-cycle recruitment, program management, and setting and implementing  DE&I strategies. Her work spans a multitude of business groups and she is also responsible for employer branding across the university recruitment landscape and diversity conferences. Outside of the office, Seema enjoys cooking (and eating), reading, and staying active.
